It’s Christmas eve – for one

It’s Christmas eve – for one
Culturally important holidays are difficult time for many to be alone.

In my attempt to inspire my clients who are afraid of being alone I booked a solo Christmas holiday as an experiment. I decided to leave Singapore and spend my holiday in Bali. Christmas eve I am staying at lovely boutique hotel. If you are afraid to go alone I recommend small boutique hotels. I am really impressed by the Purist villas and spa in Ubud. I choose this for the cozy feel and attentive staff. So far it is paying off. The staff are kind and attentive. I can have food in my room or at restaurant. It’s nice and small so they give personal touches such as remembering your name and are helpful to organize actives for you.

Today is day one. I am coming off a Latin dance cruise (more on that in another post) so I want relaxing and low key. I recommend if you are traveling alone you don’t need to feel alone. You have the best partner, yourself. Bring those books or podcasts you want to read. Get out your walking shoes to explore. Allow your self to express what do you want to do? You can do whatever you want! It can be very empowering. Best things to bring are your smile, head held high to meet people and a sense of curiosity.
